	Inspiration for this hotel comes naturally… The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa is committed to sustainable practices that preserve the delicate balance of our natural environment and its resources. Our mandate is to apply eco-friendly criteria to all of our decision-making. By minimizing our ecological footprint, we hope to set an example for responsible and sustainable tourism that others are inspired to follow. We think we live and work in the beautiful place on earth and are here because we choose to be. We don’t pay lip service to being environmental. We do meaningful and relevant things that we think are pretty interesting. Check out the cool stuff we do.
	Plus…We’re all about having fun! Don’t believe us? This might convince you…Pier Team Video We are a team of people from all walks who have come together as a result of a mutual love for what we do. First and foremost that means making your stay memorable, regardless of your reason for travel. Our Mission is to create a home away from home for our guests. We get jazzed about doing that because it means really getting to know everyone who walks through our doors. We like to have fun at work, we laugh a lot and we consider ourselves a family.
	We have a dog…his name is Dave. He steals muffins and he steals hearts….beware! As part of the Pier Team, Dave’s been working hard to make all guests feel right at home. Though Dave missed the opportunity to become an official BC Guide Dog by a snout, he’s very pleased to bring his skills and passions to the talented Sidney Pier team. Highly trained at lounging in the lobby, walking hotel guests, swimming and games of fetch, Dave is committed to his goal of making every guest smile.
